The Israeli army reported that last night, an ambush by Palestinian resistance forces in the northern Gaza Strip resulted in the deaths of five Israeli soldiers and injuries to 14 others.
According to the Israeli army, the incident occurred at 2:00 AM local time in the Beit Hanoun area, where an Israeli army convoy was targeted by a roadside bomb. Following this initial attack, additional forces sent to the scene were also targeted by Al-Qassam forces, leading to further casualties among Israeli soldiers.
The condition of two of the wounded soldiers is reported to be serious.
Information gathered by Islamic World News indicates that the total number of Israeli military deaths has now reached 456 since the onset of the ground attack on the Gaza Strip. The total number of military casualties, as claimed by the Israeli regime, has risen to 890 since the beginning of the clashes.
