On July 6, the Yemeni army launched an attack on the Magic Seas ship using two unmanned surface vehicles (USV), five ballistic and cruise missiles, and three suicide drones. This operation aimed to prevent Israeli-affiliated ships from sailing in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea.
As a result of the attack, the ship suffered multiple hits, leading to water leaking into its hull and putting it at risk of sinking. The crew ultimately abandoned the vessel, which sank completely today.
Prior to the attack, the Yemeni navy had issued warnings to the ship, but the crew ignored these alerts and faced the consequences from the Yemeni army.
In a statement, the Yemeni armed forces emphasized their commitment to ongoing military operations against the Israeli regime and reaffirmed their ban on sailing for Israeli-affiliated ships in the Red Sea and Arabian Sea until the Israeli aggression on the people of Gaza ceases.
According to our assessment, this operation marks the 213th military action carried out by the Yemeni army against illegal ships associated with Israel, the United States, and Britain in the region.
